Shoreham Brigade is pleased to welcome Kyle Hollingsworth as our latest Volunteer Firefighter.
Kyle completed his practical skills assessment as the final step of his training on Tuesday, 25th of August 2026 – and attended his first call-out on the 28th August ! Well done Kyle!
Kyle’s success brings the number of our operational firefighters to 18 – which strengthens our capacity to attend incidents within our Shoreham / Point Leo area – as well as to help neighbouring brigades when needed. It also enables us to continue to support fighting fires around the state – as and when our colleagues elsewhere need us.
As we are (ahem) an aging brigade, we need still more younger men and women from the area to help us continue to respond every time to calls for help from the community. This year’s very strong El Niño event points to a challenging fire season ahead – please help us if you can !
