The Shoreham CFA

The Shoreham CFA is a 100% volunteer brigade, currently made up of 25 members.  Our membership consists of 19 active firefighters (Operational Members) and 6 non-operational members.

The Shoreham brigade was formed in 1949 and has prospered through the hard work of its members and the strong support and generosity of the community.

The Brigade attends fires, rescues, car accidents and assists the SES with storm damage within the Shoreham district. It gives and receives support from the neighbouring Balnarring, Red Hill, Main Ridge and Flinders CFA brigades. Our Brigade also supports statewide incidents as required – such as the 2019 Gippsland bushfires.

Brigade has member meetings every second Thursday of the month and meets every Sunday at 8.00 am for training and maintenance.

Within the Brigade, there is a Business Management Team which manages the Brigade from the business point of view. In addition, there is an Auxiliary which supports the brigade with food and welfare during fires and in fundraising.
